Betfair Secures Historic Sponsorship Deal with Vasco da Gama

Betfair has secured a sponsorship arrangement with Brazilian soccer organization Vasco da Gama, representing the most substantial such contract in the club’s illustrious past. This multi-year collaboration will make Betfair Vasco’s primary backer through at least December 2025, with possibilities for further extension.

The deal provides Betfair premium visibility on the shirts of both the Vasco men’s and women’s squads. Their emblem will also be prominently displayed across Vasco’s online platforms and within “Clube de Regatas do Povo,” the club’s distinct digital content hub.

However, it encompasses more than just branding. Betfair and Vasco are joining forces to provide a variety of engaging experiences for the devoted “Team da Virada” supporters. Anticipate exclusive prizes, VIP game tickets, official merchandise, special offers, and unique opportunities throughout the partnership.

Fans will get their initial look at the Betfair logo on Vasco’s uniforms on May 12th when the men’s team confronts Vitória.

Vasco CEO Lucio Barbosa conveyed his excitement, declaring, “We are delighted and honored to reveal this partnership with Betfair, the most significant in Vasco’s history. We’ve dedicated weeks to meticulous discussions with this robust and reputable company to secure the most favorable agreement for our club.” He continued, “We still have a considerable journey ahead, but we will persist in our diligent efforts for the excellence of Vasco.”

Betfairs Global Head, Kimberly Daly, highlighted that their collaboration with Vasco da Gama transcends a traditional shirt sponsorship. They view it as a strategic partnership founded on mutual principles – a dedication to superiority, an enthusiasm for football, and a profound admiration for Vasco’s rich legacy. This collaboration, she stated, seeks to strengthen the Rio de Janeiro team’s endeavors and foster their development, both presently and in the years to come.

In other sponsorship developments this week, rumors suggest that William Hill is poised to become the title sponsor for Spain’s La Liga. Concurrently, in the Philippines, technology firm Tecnet Asia revealed their support of domestic football club Dynamic Herb Cebu.
