A leading player in the lottery sector, International Game Technology (IGT), recently revealed a significant collaboration with instant win games expert, IWG. This agreement will enable IGT to utilize IWG’s proficiency to enhance their current game selection and develop captivating new digital instant win encounters for users.
IWG, boasting a substantial presence in North America and operations in 25 nations, is an ideal match for IGT, who aim to broaden their market presence and diversify their product range.
This joint effort will involve IGT collaborating closely with IWG founders, Rhydian Fisher and Simon Bucknall, to pinpoint and capitalize on emerging patterns in the online instant win sector.
Stepan Dlouhy, IGT’s Chief Information Officer, conveyed his enthusiasm for the alliance, affirming that it emphasizes IGT’s dedication to providing a top-tier player experience. He commended IWG’s inventive approach and comprehensive market knowledge.
Rhydian Fisher reciprocated the excitement, emphasizing how IWG’s established performance, coupled with IGT’s extensive network and assets, will generate substantial value for both entities and their associates. Erwin intends to purchase a majority share in IWG – specifically, 70% – utilizing the company’s existing funds. Their goal is to conclude the acquisition by late 2024, though regulatory approvals are still pending.
Erwin has experienced a recent surge of success. In addition to securing their fourth national lottery permit, they also formed a partnership with BCLC in October to introduce their “Set for Life” lottery on the PlayNow.com website. They are certainly capitalizing on their momentum!
