Betby Receives Prestigious MGA Approval for its Esports Betting Platform

Esports betting solutions provider, Betby, has been granted a coveted seal of endorsement from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). This authorization enables Betby to extend its state-of-the-art esports odds and data platform to other entities operating under the MGA’s licensing umbrella. Consider it an exclusive invitation for Betby to participate in a premier league of its own.

The platform offers a comprehensive suite of services, encompassing pre-match and in-play odds, delivering substantial content, and featuring a sophisticated analytics hub. Operators have the flexibility to integrate it as an independent esports data feed or seamlessly incorporate it within Betby’s proprietary sportsbook solution. Furthermore, the platform encompasses risk mitigation tools, backend utilities, and even facilitates esports broadcasts via Twitch.

The MGA’s approval was not granted casually. They undertook a meticulous evaluation, verifying that Betby’s solution adhered to their rigorous regulatory standards. This endorsement was among the final actions overseen by departing CEO Carl Brincat, who relinquished his position to Charles Mizzi on January 26th. Mizzi, a seasoned professional with over two and a half decades of expertise in finance, investments, and Maltese commerce, was appointed by the board.

The MGA plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the ethical standards of the Maltese gaming sector. They are entrusted with issuing licenses, conducting inquiries, and even suspending or revoking licenses in the event of regulatory infractions. Recent instances include the temporary suspension of Rush Gaming’s license in early January and the annulment of Super7plus’s license the previous week.

Eva Berkova, Chief Operating Officer of Betby, conveyed her excitement, proclaiming, “This represents a momentous accomplishment for Betby.”

Betby has invested heavily in its proprietary esports wagering platform recently… and the results are impressive! Collaborations with leading esports data providers have generated a hugely positive reception.

Ilze Ramolina, Betby’s Chief Legal Officer, expressed their enthusiasm, “Receiving approval from the Malta Gaming Authority is a significant milestone. We prioritize ethical conduct and hold regulatory adherence in high regard at Betby.”

She continued, “This authorization for our esports betting offerings is transformative, but our ambitions extend further. Betby has ambitious goals to broaden our presence in regulated jurisdictions globally.”
