Betway Serves Up New Sponsorship Deal With European Open Tennis Tournament

Betway has broadened its footprint in the realm of tennis by securing a sponsorship deal with the European Open. Hosted in Belgium, this competition stands as the nation’s sole ATP Tour tournament and marks a calculated expansion of Betway’s burgeoning tennis portfolio.

Anthony Werkman, Chief Executive Officer of Betway, conveyed his excitement about the collaboration, underscoring how the European Open, despite its relatively recent debut, has already drawn some of the sport’s most prominent athletes. He stressed Betway’s pledge to fostering the tournament’s expansion and assisting its ascent to becoming a premier event on the ATP Tour.

This sponsorship arrangement perpetuates Betway’s robust history of backing tennis, as the company already holds ties to major tournaments such as the Generali Open, the Miami Open, and the Mercedes Cup. Betway has been notably proactive in securing fresh partnerships throughout this year. As an illustration, in May 2021, the company assumed the role of official sponsor for the Nordea Open in Sweden, followed by the revelation of their backing of the Hamburg Open in June.

Through this latest partnership, Betway reiterates its commitment to sponsoring elite sporting events across the world.

Since its launch in 2016, we’ve been diligently striving to enhance every facet of the European Open,” remarked Juan de Dios Aguirre, a Partner at Tennium, the event organizer. “Our objective is to craft an exceptional encounter for spectators and amplify the worth of our promotions. This fresh collaboration aligns seamlessly with those aspirations, and we’re delighted to collaborate with such an esteemed frontrunner in their domain.”

Scheduled from October 19th to 25th on the hard courts of Antwerp, the competition is poised to welcome back a formidable assembly of past victors. Enthusiasts can anticipate witnessing tennis legends such as Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Kyle Edmund vying for the championship throughout the week-long tournament.
