Australia Bans Nine Online Gambling Platforms

The Australian administration has prohibited nine online gambling platforms from operating within the nation. These websites were determined to be violating the law by providing gambling services to Australians without a permit. The government has reached out to internet service providers to restrict access to these platforms. This brings the total number of blocked gambling websites to 481 since 2019. Since 2017, over 160 unlawful gambling services have ceased operations in Australia. The government cautions individuals that even if a gambling website appears legitimate, it may lack proper customer safeguards. This implies that individuals who utilize these platforms risk losing their funds.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) restricted access to six online gambling sites last month. These gambling sites, Golden Crown Casino, Sol Casino, PowBet, ExciteWin, Sportaza, and Gamble Online, were discovered to be violating the law by providing gambling services to Australians.
