NIGA Partners with Clarion Events to Boost Tribal Gaming

The National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) has joined forces with Clarion Events to bolster growth and support within the tribal gaming sector.

NIGA will leverage Clarion Events’ expertise in organizing trade shows and conferences to enhance its annual Indian Gaming Trade Show and Convention.

Clarion Gaming, through its ICE brand, will assist NIGA in expanding its reach.

This collaboration will highlight the significance of tribal gaming within the overall industry. The $35 billion tribal gaming sector is the 11th largest employer in the United States, generating $6.2 billion in revenue from hotels, entertainment, food and beverage, and retail establishments.

NIGA’s annual trade show, the Indian Gaming Trade Show and Convention, is a major event.

The 2021 version, which took place last July, was the initial significant gaming gathering to be conducted in person since the COVID-19 outbreak. Participation was similar to pre-pandemic figures, drawing in tribal chiefs, commercial gaming operators, and top-tier suppliers.

The 2022 exhibition will be held in Anaheim, California, from April 19-22.

“Tribal gaming is a pioneer in the gaming realm,” stated Ernest Stevens Jr. (pictured above), President of the National Indian Gaming Association. “Before the COVID-19 pandemic, tribal gaming income had expanded annually for the past ten years, a testament to the ingenuity and accomplishments in Indian Country.

“The work we undertake empowers our tribal communities and generates essential revenue for economic advancement,” President Stevens continued. “We are starting to reconstruct. As we strive to establish a new standard, we are thrilled to collaborate with Clarion Events.

“They value the National Indian Gaming Association’s purpose and vision, support its members, and are experts in producing large trade shows and conferences. Through their partnership, we will broaden the Indian Gaming Trade Show and Conference and amplify the global influence of tribal gaming through ICE.”

Meanwhile, Clarion Gaming delivers business-critical intelligence, industry-leading events, and conference services across its live and digital brand portfolio.

This encompasses ICE gatherings and digital labels, including live happenings and digital material, as well as its internet gaming brands iGB and iGB Affiliate, covering occasions and content for the gaming industry affiliate marketers.

Greg Topalian, head of Clarion Events North America, stated the firm has a robust association with NIGA, spanning seven years.

“We hold the highest regard for the work the organization performs for its members and the tribal gaming community,” Topalian clarified. “As part of Clarion Events’ ongoing plan, we actively seek to expand our existing partnerships and collaborate with new organizations to scale our events and support their goals.

“A closer connection between the National Indian Gaming Association and our ICE brand will build upon their standards of excellence and lift the Indian Gaming Trade Show and Conference to new levels.”
