## William Hill Remains Top Retailer in Washington D.C. Sports Betting Market

Washington D.C.’s lottery witnessed a substantial 27.8% rise in wagers during October compared to the preceding month, despite the city’s mobile betting options trailing behind William Hill’s physical sports betting operation at Capitol One Arena.

The Gambet application, powered by Intralot, saw its wagers surge to $4.2 million in October, with patrons claiming $3.4 million in winnings. Assuming no adjustments, earnings for the month climbed by 64.8% to $822,101, marking Gambet’s highest revenue ever recorded.

This also signifies that since the app’s debut in May, users have placed $10.6 million in bets through Gambet, winning $8.8 million, with revenue reaching $1.8 million.

However, the William Hill-branded temporary sportsbook situated at Capitol One Arena continues to surpass Gambet, despite its restricted reach and absence of mobile services.

The venue’s wagers increased by 17.8% compared to September, reaching $14.4 million, with customers receiving $11.6 million in winnings. This resulted in revenue of $2.7 million, a 108.2% increase from the previous month, with the city collecting $271,777 in taxes.
